HISTORIC ST. MARY of VICTORIES CHURCH, founded in 1843 in the Chouteau's Landing Historic District, offers historic charm, distinctive architectural beauty and gourmet Hungarian food in a classic landmark setting in Downtown St.Louis. The second oldest church in the city of St. Louis, it offers excellent food (one of the few places in town to get good Hungarian fare), and the diverse visitors include tourists from all over the nation and the world to see its acclaimed architecture. A former parish priest who served in the 1860's,
BLESSED FRANCIS X. SEELOS, will soon be canonized by the Vatican as the second saint from the St. Louis metro area after St. Phillipine Duchesne. Masses are still celebrated Sundays (9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.) and holy days during the week in Hungarian, English and Latin. A VERY WORTHWHILE PLACE TO VISIT! Bring the whole family!
