Brenda Battle, MBA, BSN, RN, director of the center for diversity and cultural competence at Barnes-Jewish, will discuss the importance of understanding the impact of culture in the healthcare industry and how to best communicate across cultures. The event is open to HBA members and non-members and breakfast will be served. The cost for Barnes-Jewish employees and HBA members is $35 and $60 for a non-member. Admission will increase after Aug. 13.
