Shawn Burkard: Monoliths 3

Developed from a multiple-element sculpture created earlier this year, St. Louis-based artist Shawn Burkard has created three monolithic painted steel structures that reveal the imaginary framework of the originating work. Installed in The Sheldon's Lucy and Stanley Lopata Sculpture Garden, and in front of the Emerson wing, the works create a dialogue with neighboring contemporary architecture and The Sheldon's historic building.Presented by Sheldon Art Galleries
