"a woman like that" - An Afternoon With Artemisia Gentileschi

Join us for a special presentation of filmmaker Ellen Weissbrod's documentary "a woman like that" (2010, 93 min). Weissbrod merges her own coming of middle-age story with her pursuit of the truths behind the legends of 17th century female painter Artemisia Gentileschi's dramatic art and life. Gentileschi scholar Judith Mann will introduce Artemisia and discuss recently-discovered letters by the artist which offer new details about her life.
