Radiohead

One thing that seems all but certain about a Radiohead concert: Fans are going to get their socks blown off. At least that’s how usually is. But a review in southern Florida’s Sun Sentinel newspaper of the tour’s recent opening date in Miami was brutal: “Twelve songs into Radiohead’s 24-song set … Thom Yorke, the band’s anxious, elfin leader, asked the audience, ‘Are you still there?’ It may not have been a rhetorical question. … Radiohead came across unprepared at best and listless at worst.” Yikes. We’ll keep the faith and choose to believe that Radiohead has since gotten its act together. By Kevin C. Johnson
