I have seen Wicked twice before, once in Chicago and in St. Louis the last time Wicked came into town. I adore Wicked and wait patiently until the next time I'm fortunate enough to see it on stage.
Last night was disappointing. The vocals were subpar, in my opinion. This group lacked the polish and vocal ability that I expect with a production of this size. Some people were so dissatisfied that they got up and left. Some of the dialogue was spoken too fast and songs were sung too fast...so fast that it was difficult to hear the words clearly.
I will still go to see Wicked in the future because it's doubtful that they same group would be performing.
