The St. Louis Chamber Chorus, our region's finest choral ensemble, presents the second concert in its 2009-2010 season, "Music of the Fall."
The title is a pun, referring both to the season and to falls of other kinds. On the program are Max Reger's rarely-heard "Drei Motetten," Christoph Bernhard's 17th century mass on the tune "On Adam's Fall," and a world premiere by composer-in-residence Clare Maclean, "Slow Gold," weaving together poems by Emily Dickinson, John Bunyan and Psalm 23.
The Webster University Chorale and its director, Kathryn Smith Bowers, will join the SLCC, conducted for this concert by Orin Johnson.
