Sheryl Crow won the Grammys’ version of the Rookie of the Year award in 1995, beating out new artists Counting Crows, Crash Test Dummies, Green Day and Ace of Base (Remember them?). Since then, the Missouri-born singer has scored more awards, platinum records and devoted fans. Crow returns to the Midwest for a concert to benefit Stand Up to Cancer. Elvis Costello, a major league star in his own right, makes a special appearance. The show is free, but spectators are invited to donate money to the charity. Prior to the concert, Fox (Channel 2) will air the 3:10 p.m. Cards-Cubs match on big-screen TVs. Alcohol, glass containers and pets are banned, but concessions will be available at the show.
