SSM Heart Institute Sponsors Free Heart Healthy Events
During February from Feb. 13 – 28, American Heart Month, the SSM Heart Institute is conducting free heart health screenings and informational presentations by heart specialists at four SSM hospitals including St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake Saint Louis, St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, DePaul Health Center in Bridgeton and St. Mary’s Health Center in Richmond Heights. The SSM Heart Institute events will feature physician experts talking about the most common causes and symptoms of heart disease, free screenings for cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index and carotid artery ultrasound testing, and a heart healthy cooking demonstration.
