The Hurt Locker

Staff Sgt. William James (Jeremy Renner), Sgt. J.T. Sanborn (Anthony Mackie) and Specialist Owen Eldridge (Brian Geraghty) are members of a bomb-disposal unit in Baghdad. As their tour of duty enters its final weeks, the men face a set of increasingly hazardous situations, any of which could end their lives in an explosive instant.

Riveting war movie transcends politics

Staff Sgt. William James (Jeremy Renner) puts his life on the line every time he goes to work — and he wouldn't have it any other way. His job is defusing bombs, and he's terrific at it. The possibility of being blown up at any moment is just an occupational hazard.

Stark Drama Worth the Money

This riveting war drama set in Iraq will hold your attention from start to finish as we watch a group of American soldiers go about their highly dangerous business. The movie pulls no punches and the realism is stark, at times eerie. If this type of entertainment is what you are looking for, you will not likely be disappointed in this effort. Nary a dull moment and strong characters in this tightly edited drama.
