Learn foundational improv quilting techniques start to finish while making a functional potholder! With the improv quilting technique, you’ll work in an intuitive manner to piece as you go to create a unique, freeform design. We’ll work with reclaimed and vintage fabrics to piece together your top. Learn how to plan out your color scheme, cut fabric, and begin sewing the top of your potholder from the center with a straight stitch. We’ll discuss how to choose the correct batting for the inside, and you’ll back the quilted piece with a larger piece of fabric.
